Join Garden State Author Talks for an evening with Oprah’s Book Club author and PEN/Faulkner Award winner Imbolo Mbue, celebrating her new novel, Every Story Is a Love Story: A Novel.

Mbue will be in conversation with Aidan Flax-Clark. Flax-Clark is the director of LIVE from NYPL, the New York Public Library’s public programming series. He interviews leading writers about their books and ideas.
Mbue grew up in Cameroon, and her bestselling debut, Behold the Dreamers, explores an immigrant couple’s pursuit of the American dream. Her own journey brought her to New Jersey to attend Rutgers University, followed by graduate study at Columbia. Her fiction invites readers into intimate conversations about belonging, family, and the forces that shape our lives.
